Twin Shadow – Five Seconds

Twin Shadow, also known as George Lewis Jr. is a tad interesting, born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Florida, lived in Boston and released a couple of albums with a band he was in called Mad Man Films (way before Mad Men reigned supreme I believe) and then finally settled in Brooklyn where he became Twin Shadow in 2006. Twin Shadow’s debut albumForget was released in 2010 to rave reviews from the biggest music publications around, produced by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor, it was a dreamy suburban new-wave 80s synth pop delight and a dazzling debut.

So now, two years later, Twin Shadow’s second album Confess is set to be released on 9th July via 4AD, so just over a fortnight to wait. If the video for album track Five Seconds is anything to go by then it’s going to be a stunner.

A beautifully directed video, more or less a short film and the track itself is available to download for free here.
